Full-Time: Monday-Friday, varied start times from 5:30am

Essential Duties

Loading/unloading various types of freight from containers and delivery trucks to/from terminal floor by lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling, palletizing, shrink wrapping, operating a pallet jack, completing corresponding paperwork, labeling freight, cleaning out containers, and removing dunnage/rubbish.
Assist drivers with deliveries on the road by tracking freight, placing freight in designated areas, down stacking when required, and safe navigation of delivery locations by assisting while reversing onto the dock and spotting/stopping traffic and pedestrians.
Maintain warehouse and facility cleanliness.
Follow instructions from Terminal Supervisor or Senior Lead Checker.
Wear company-approved uniform, including any required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and professional appearance.
Manual labor as assigned.
Always think and work safely to prevent work injuries, accidents, and property damage. Comply with all company safety rules, including reporting unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, illnesses and injuries to supervisor or manager and actively participate in identifying ways to make our company a safer place to work.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years related business experience.
Forklift and pallet jack (electric and manual) experience.
Excellent attendance and dependability.
Work well in a team environment.
Completes assigned job duties with a high degree of initiative & self-motivation.
Demonstrates strong attention to detail & ability to multi-task to ensure job duties are completed efficiently.
Effectively communicates with customers, coworkers, and management.
Ability to proactively identify problems, brainstorm and analyze answers, and implement the best solution.
