Pacific Transfer’s tractor fleet drays as many as 200 steamship containers each day to our local supermarket, distribution and retail customers. We also haul tankers of liquid fructose to the various soft drink manufacturing plants.
In 1998, Pacific Transfer was the first in Hawaii’s transportation industry to utilize Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) technology to increase our efficiency and service to our customers. That tradition of seeking out the most advanced technological solutions has led to the deployment of a cutting-edge dispatch and billing system that is unmatched by any other Hawaii based carrier. Our container and general hauling operations dispatch over three-dozen tractors now equipped with mobile dispatch communication devices that allow each driver to provide real-time pickup and delivery information to our dispatchers and valued customers.
Our dispatch staff and tractor drivers maintain over 20 years of experience with Pacific Transfer and our average driver turnover ratio over the past five years is less than five percent. Our drivers take extreme pride in driving clean, highly maintained tractors. All of our drivers must excel in our intensive driver safety training and road re-certification programs each year.
